Who we are
This site is run by Innov8 Global Advisory, which decides what is collected here and why. It is the same organisation behind The Yellow Door and Founders Coffee.
Write to info@i8gl.com about anything on this page, including the things further down that you are entitled to ask us to do.
What we collect
Only what you type into one of the three forms, and nothing at all if you do not use them.
The waiting list: your name, your email address, and the fact and time of your ticking the consent box.
A photograph you send: the image itself, your name, whatever contact you choose to give, and anything you write about it.
Something you tell us about a Friday: your name, whatever contact you choose to give, the text, and roughly when it happened.
There are no cookies on this site, no visitor analytics, and no third-party scripts. That is not a promise about the future: if we add anything that counts visitors, this notice changes before it starts, and it will say what it is.
Why, and on what basis
The waiting list exists to write to you once there is a date. When you join, we send one email to confirm it, and after that nothing until there is one. That is consent, which you gave by ticking the box and can withdraw at any time by replying to any message or writing to us.
Photographs and recollections are used to build the archive on this page. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping a record of something that happened, and on your having chosen to send it. Nothing appears on the page without a person reading it first.
Who else touches it
The forms are handled by a small service of ours running on Railway, and what you send is stored with Supabase.
Email goes through Resend: the one confirmation we send when you join the waiting list, which comes from tgif@send.i8gl.com, and an alert about each new submission to a mailbox of ours in Google Workspace. Replies to either go to info@i8gl.com.
That is the whole list. We do not sell anything, we do not share anything for advertising, and there is no analytics or marketing platform in the path.
How long we keep it
Waiting-list entries: two years, and then we delete them. If a Friday happens before that and you ask to come off the list, we delete them sooner.
Photographs and recollections: we keep them as long as the archive exists, because that is what the archive is. Ask us and we will take yours out.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it corrected, ask for it deleted, ask for a copy, or object to our using it. Write to info@i8gl.com and we will answer within a month.
If you think we have handled your data badly you can complain to a data protection authority. We would rather you told us first, because we can usually fix it the same week.
Security, and its limit
The site is served over HTTPS, submissions travel encrypted, and access to what is stored is limited to the people who run these events.
The honest limit: no system is perfect, and a photograph you send is a photograph on somebody else's computer. Do not send us anything you would mind existing.
Children
This is a site about a drinks evening and it is not for children. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18. If you think we have, tell us and it goes.
Changes to this notice
If we change something that matters, we move the date at the top. If the change affects people already on the waiting list, we write to them.
